In this study, we sequenced the whole genome of 10 samples from 6 dead embryos and 4 dead nestlings (0-45days), and 32 samples from alive crested ibises which were all incubated and fed in the same experimental conditions. Comparing these whole-genome to explore whole genomic difference between these two group, and furthermore to discover the genetic reasons that causing the death of embryos and nestlings. This result means a great deal to increase the size and livability of the crested ibis’ population and will provide more whole genome scale understandings into this endangered species conservation.
