The identification of whole fish microbiota and evaluation of their relative abundance can provide information on the pathogenic and non-pathogenic bacteria and on their interaction with each other and with the fish, contributing to develop effective measures for the prevention and control of diseases in aquaculture. The aim of this study was to analyse the global bacterial microbiome of sea bass and sea bream whole larvae from different aquaculture sites and sampling times, and also to evaluate the microbiome of their food and water to estimate possible impacts on the microbiome.
