Gridded data, in ascii text format, of oil and gas platforms at the spatial extent of the North Sea (2012). Data are produced at three different spatial resolutions: 0.1, 0.25 and 0.5 decimal degree, respectively. Values represent estimated proportion of grid cell occupied by structures. Data were processed and aggregated from the fixed platform database (http://oilandgasuk.co.uk, October 2012) to support projects under the INSITE (INfluence of man-made Structures In The Ecosystem) programme.
