Do ecological dissimilarity and trait strategies in the native range predict alien plant establishment in the introduced range?

Leveraging the unidirectional invasion pathway of plant species native to the Mediterranean into California, we conducted a cross-continental study to examine the phylogenetic and functional dissimilarity between native and alien plants, and assessed the differences in trait-trait relationships between native and alien species across both their native and introduced ranges.
