Transcriptome analysis of Jatropha curcas L. flower buds responded to the paclobutrazol treatment

This study aimed to investigate the effects of PCB treatment on Jatropha in terms of the number of male and female flowers, and seed yield. The morphology of Jatropha flower buds and their response to the PCB treatment was examined using scanning electron microscope (SEM). After that, the stage of Jatropha flower buds was identified based on the presence of sex organs. De novo transcriptome sequencing of the PCB-treated Jatropha flowers was performed in the absent (0h), transiton (4h), present sex organs (24h).
