このデータは、シェープファイルのサンプルとして、ESRIジャパン株式会社が無償で配布しているものです。 日本全国の都道府県名、市区町村名、人口、世帯数、市区町村コードの情報が含まれています。 本データの作成にあたっては、国土地理院長の承認を得て、同院発行の数値地図（国土基本情報）を加工・編集して使用しております（承認番号 令元情使 第459-9号）。また、人口・世帯数データには、「住民基本台帳に基づく人口、人口動態及び世帯数（平成31年1月1日現在） 総務省」を使用しています。
This dataset is a sample shapefile distributed free of charge by ESRI Japan Co., Ltd. It contains information on prefecture names, city/town/village names, population, number of households, and municipal codes across Japan. In the development of this dataset, approval was obtained from the Director-General of the Geospatial Information Authority of Japan, and digital maps (national basic geographic information) published by the authority were processed and edited for use (approval number: Reiwa 1 Information Use No. 459-9). Additionally, the population and household count data are sourced from "Population, Demographic Trends and Households Based on the Basic Resident Register (as of January 1, 2019, Heisei 31)" published by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications of Japan.
