Impact of PM2.5 exposure on honeybee

This project investigates the impact of fine particulate matter (PM2.5) exposure on honeybees, focusing on transcriptomic and physiological responses across different organs. Honeybees were exposed in a whole-body dynamic exposure system integrated with an ambient PM real-time concentration device for three days, and multiple tissues, including antennae, brain, gut, and other vital organs, were sampled for RNA sequencing. The generated data provide insights into organ-specific molecular mechanisms underlying the sublethal effects of air pollution on pollinator health and ecological functions.
