资源简介:
The dataset includes 2024-2051 estimates of projected United States Federal mineral rights lands coal production and the resulting greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) from mining, transporting, and combusting that fuel. The data cover six states and 30 coal mines. It is divided into four tables, one of coal production and three of GHG emissions. The coal production is presented with three different production volumes per year. Each volume represents a different scenario of coal production; minimum, most likely, and maximum. The parent report to this data release provides details on the scenarios used. The three other tables estimate GHG emissions for each of the coal production scenarios. For each scenario, carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), and nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions were calculated across seven sectors: four types of coal combustion, coal transportation, and fugitive emissions from active surface and underground mines. Estimates for all three GHGs are included in most sectors, resulting in a total of 17 distinct results. For each sector, the uncertainty for the emissions estimates are also reported, leading to a total of 51 outputs (and 21 totals and subtotals) for each of the three coal production scenarios.
