Tremarctos ornatus Genome sequencing and assembly

Sequencing data for the genome assembly of a male Tremarctos ornatus. Cultured cell lines of the sun, spectacled, and sloth bears were provided by the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance under existing permits. High molecular weight DNA extractions and PacBio HiFi library preparation and sequencing carried out by the UC Davis Genome Center; Omni-C ligation libraries and genome assemblies generated at the UCSC Paleogenomics Lab.
