Bacterial pathogens isolates from longitudinal broiler litter study

A longitudinal study was conducted on a commercial-scale broiler farm in GA, USA. Broiler litter was collected after successive flocks were raised on the, initially fresh, litter. Collected broiler litter samples underwent microbial sampling for Salmonella and Campylobacter species. Isolates of Salmonella and Campylobacter had their DNA extracted and sequenced on Oxford Nanopore and Illumina platforms.
