Subtropical Rainforest and Dunal Care Project

To assist in enhancing the wetlands of the Maroochy Catchment area on the Sunshine Coast. Substantial environmental works to be undertaken along existing caneland riparian areas to assist in minimising leachetes and suspended sediment watershed into the Catchment and to assist in Wetland sustainability. Within this project participants will complete site assessments, plant identification, site preparation and planting techniques, small machinery operation and herbicide application. Other components of this project involve seed collection and propagation, nursery operation and maintenance, natural resource management techniques, water and soil quality testing, interview skills, improved job search skills, teamwork and project management.
