Microbacterium sp. T2.11-28 from the Iberian Pyrite Belt subsurface. undefined

T2.11-28 is a Microbacterium strain that has been isolated from the deep subsurface of the Iberian Pyrite Belt (SW Spain) in strict anaerobic conditions. The sample was taken from a drill core obtained at 284 meters below the surface durign the Iberian Pyrite Belt Subsurface Life Detection project (IPBSL). It was isolated from a methanogenic enrichment culture in a H2:CO2 (80:20) atmosphere. A genome was sequenced.
