This study aimed to analyze the competitiveness of public transit. The data focused on STIS (Seoul Taxi Information System) and Smart cards, generated from people’s traffic patterns in metropolitan areas. To compare and analyze the disparities between these two travel modes, additional data containing socio-economic and geographical information was collected, forming the basis of our research. The dataset comprised information from 2021 to 2022. The final sample encompassed aggregated data from 1,650 grids where both transportation modes were operational.
