资源简介:

This Computed Tomography (CT) data was produced at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Hokkaido University, as part of research on narwhal (Monodon monoceros), using a multidetector CT scanner (Aquilion Prime, Canon Medical Systems, Tochigi, Japan). Raw data were stored in Digital Imaging and Communication in Medicine (DICOM) files. For 3D reconstructions, the default output format of 3D Slicer 5.10.0 was used. All specimens were obtained from Inuit hunters in Qaanaaq, Northwest Greenland, before being legally brought to Japan. Hokkaido University Museum specimen of a narwhal skull and erupted tusk (ID HoUMVC-14735) corresponds to matching teeth (erupted tusk (NW2203a) and embedded tooth (NW2203b)). The other three teeth specimens correspond to three different narwhals from other collections in Japan (NW2313, NW24, NW2403). The provided files are: _Vol_05_Vol_17.zip (with Slicer_files*) = tooth NW2203a, part 1 (tip) _Vol_05_Vol_18.zip (with Slicer_files*) = tooth NW2203a, part 2 (root) _Vol_05_Vol_19.zip (with Slicer_files*) = skull (ID HoUMVC-14735) with impacted tooth NW2203b _Vol_05_Vol_21.zip (with Slicer_files*) = mandible (ID HoUMVC-14735) and tooth NW2313 _Vol_05_Vol_7.zip = tooth NW24, part 1 (root) _Vol_05_Vol_8.zip = tooth NW24, part 2 (tip) _Vol_05_Vol_9.zip = tooth NW2403 .
