This series contains the Correspondence Registers of Dumaresq Shire Council.The ealier volumes are arranged alphabetically by the author of the letter. The following information is contained in the registers: date received, from whom received, their address and the subject of the letter. In the first volume, letters are numbered for each year received. The correspondence was received from individuals, organisations and government departments. Many aspects of the Council's operations were covered by the correspondence including Roads, Community Consultation, Financial Estimates, Building Applications, Rates Assessments, Significant Construction, Council Meetings, Elections and Boundary Changes.Custody History These files were in the custody of Dumaresq Shire Council until 1995 when they were transferred to the Regional Archives.
