资源简介:
This is a doctoral research project consisting of four studies with an overarching aim to enhance the learning experience and educational outcomes of students in the Bachelor of Chinese Medicine programme at the University of Hong Kong by exploring and implementing modern pedagogical approaches in an evidence-informed manner. The programme of work adopts practical action research as a set of case studies, using mixed methods (qualitative, quantitative, and mixed designs) grounded in a pragmatic epistemology to design, implement, and evaluate educational interventions. The research investigates historical and sociocultural determinants of Chinese Medicine education, proposes directions for curriculum redesign, develops and tests innovative instructional and assessment strategies (including an e‑learning platform and blended field-based learning), and evaluates their impacts on learner reactions, attitudes, knowledge, and skills through embedded, triangulation, explanatory, and quasi-experimental designs. Ethical oversight was obtained from the HKU/HA HKW IRB; data collection methods include archival document review, semi-structured interviews, questionnaires, tests, and engagement metrics, with analyses performed using qualitative coding and a range of statistical techniques. The project aims to produce evidence-based recommendations to inform curriculum reform, promote Scholarship of Teaching and Learning in Chinese Medicine, and improve professional training and lifelong learning for future practitioners.
