The tectonic responses in the overriding plate during the Paleo-Tethyan convergence and the progressive extrusion process in Sundaland: insights from the Wuliangshan massif, SE Tibetan Plateau

We present the results of zircon U-Pb and Hf isotope analyses for the Wuliangshan metamorphic complex in the southeast Tibetan Plateau. According to this data, we reveal that the Wuliangshan metamorphic complex reflects the tectonic events of rapid subsidence and deposition that occurred within a short period from 260-250 Ma in a back-arc tectonic setting. Then, statistics of ⁴⁰Ar/³⁹Ar age data from the Red River Fault, the Chongshan-Lancang River Fault, and the Gaoligong Fault are presented to discuss the tectonic extrusion process of the Sundaland.
