The dataset of the research on the co-pyrolysis of rice straw and PVC catalysed by CaO/HZSM-5 composite catalyst mainly includes Py-GC/MS pyrolysis experimental data, TG-MS pyrolysis experimental data, SEM+EDS data, XRD data, elemental chlorine content data, and synergistic effect analysis data.Among them, Py-GC/MS pyrolysis experimental data were obtained from the pyrolysis analysis of PVC, RS and PR samples using pyrolysis-gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (Py-GC/MS), which were summarised and analysed by Excel, and the pyrolysis product distributions were obtained by graphing with Origin software.The TG-MS pyrolysis experimental data were carried out on PVC and RS samples using thermogravimetric-mass spectrometry (TG-MS), and the data were later analysed using Origin software. SEM and EDS data are used to examine the micro-morphology of the prepared hemifocal samples using a scanning electron microscope, which is coupled with an energy spectrometer (EDS) to excite characteristic X-rays for surface elemental analysis.The XRD data were used to analyse the crystal structure and mineral composition of the hemifocal samples using an X-ray powder diffractometer. The data were processed using MDI Jade 6 software and finally plotted using Origin software.The elemental chlorine content data was determined by ion chromatography and finally collated and summarised in an Excel file.The synergistic effect analysis data were used to analyse the interaction between PVC and RS in the co-pyrolysis process and the synergistic effect of the CaO/HZSM-5 composite catalyst on the basis of the Py-GC/MS pyrolysis experimental data, and the synergistic reaction mechanism diagram was obtained by comparing the experimental values with the theoretical calculation values.
