Data for: Smectite quantification in hydrothermally altered volcanic rocks

The xrdml files are the diffraction patterns of all samples refined with the BGMN software in this study. The structure files for chlorite and two types of smectite were built-in to adjust to the types of clays encountered in these rocks, as described in the manuscript.
