MicroRNA profile of human SZ95 sebocyte cell line upon TLR activation

We performed microRNA sequencing after 24 hours of LPS (TLR4 activator) and PAM3CSK4 (TLR1/2 activator) treatment of human immortalized SZ95 sebocyte cell line. Both TLR activators induced common significant elevation of 14 miRNA expression levels, of which miR-146a showed the most abundant values. Further experiments confirmed that the altered levels of miR-146a may lead to changes in immune response, apoptosis, cell differentiation, and proliferation-related pathways in sebocytes.
