LIBERALIZATION OF THE INSTITUTE OF PAROL RELEASE

This article examines the rationale for modernizing the institution of parole. It argues for the need to reconsider absolute prohibitions and overly broad restrictions that hinder the realization of parole's corrective and stimulating potential. The authors view this institution as an element of a progressive penal system focused on the resocialization of convicts, reducing the risk of recidivism, and the rational use of public resources.
