Spatiotemporal analysis of intersecting effects of sex, nationality, and age on life expectancy in low-population areas [Dataset]

This dataset contains life expectancy and poor health indicators at the municipal level in Catalonia, Spain, for the periods 2000–2004 and 2018–2022. The dataset includes disaggregated information by sex, nationality (native and non-native), and age groups, and was produced using Bayesian spatiotemporal models to ensure reliability in small-population areas. The indicators have been calculated by Dipsalut, the Public Health Agency of the Province of Girona, as part of its public health observatory system. This data supports the article: "Spatiotemporal analysis of intersecting effects of sex, nationality, and age on life expectancy in low-population areas" submitted to the Journal of Urban Health. The dataset aims to facilitate the design of equity-oriented public health policies by providing standardized, reproducible indicators for all Catalan municipalities.
