Our study represents the first detailed analysis of WT vs Beclin 2 KO cell/tissue transcriptomes, with biologic replicates, generated by RNA-seq technology. RNA-seq based transcriptome characterization would expedite genetic network analyses and permit the dissection of complex biologic functions. The mRNA profiles of primary bone marrow derived macrophages (stimulated by LPS for 3 hours), splenic T cells and B cells from 8-week old wild type (WT) and Beclin 2 KO mice were generated in duplicate using Illumina HiSeq. The mRNA profiles of tumor samples from Beclin 2 KO mice, and lymph nodes from both WT and Beclin 2 KO mice were also generated in duplicate.
