Mus musculus strain:C57/Bl6N Raw sequence reads

Circular RNAs (circRNAs) are a recently rediscovered class of RNA species that originate from back-splicing events. Previous studies have detected a large number of circRNAs in neuronal tissue, many of which are abundant, stable, and well conserved during evolution. However, most of these reports solely rely on the identification of back-splicing events from rRNA-depleted total RNA-seq data, but fail to characterize circular RNA candidates in greater detail. In this work, we use a combination of RNAseR treatment over multiple replicates and long sequencing reads to elucidate the exact sequence and exon structure of circular RNAs in adult murine brain tissues.
