Third-party libraries in mobile apps: When, How, and Why Developers Update Them - Appendix

This online appendix contains the following content.<br><br><b>apps.csv</b>The list of 2752 applications that we considered in our study. It also includes the information about the source code locations and Google Play Store links.<br><b>dependencies.csv</b>It is the list of the dependencies we extracted from the considered apps, including the categorization we manually applied starting from Maven.<br><b>technical_lag__data.zip</b>The data resulting from the technical lag analysis we performed. The folder includes a single `CSV` file for each of the considered apps.<br><b>technical_lag__evolution.csv</b>The final technical lag file, which includes all the considered apps.<br><b>trends__data.zip</b>The data resulted from the full mining process, divided by app. For each of the files, we report the uses and releases of the dependencies.<br><b>trends__graphs.zip</b>A graphical representation for the dependencies for each of the considered apps. We include a file for each combination of app and dependency.<br><b>patterns.csv</b>The result of the automatic and manual analysis we manually applied to each dependency uses for the considered apps. It reports the number of changes within commit history and the analysis on use patterns.
