Somerset House Rehabilitation Project (CIVE 4918 - Capstone Project) (2015)

The building located at 352 Somerset Street West in Ottawa is more than a century old. Better known as Somerset House, it was originally constructed in 1896 [1] to house the Crosby, Caruthers Dry Goods Company. The original 3 storey brick building located at the corner of Bank Street and Somerset Street West was expanded by adding a 4 storey brick addition to the rear in 1902. This is a capstone project compiled by a group of undergraduate students of the Architectural Conservation and Sustainability Program (Engineers and architects) at Carleton University for the CIVE4819 Capstone project.
