Identification of a new HLA-B*07 allele in a French patient with an indication of hematopoietic stem cell allograft.. A new HLA-B*07 allele

A new HLA-B allele has been identified in a French patient who has an indication of hematopoietic stem cell allograft. High-definition PCR-SSO typing gave the HLA-B * 07 result with ambiguities whose most likely allele was HLA-B * 07: 02, this allele was also obtained by the high-resolution PCR-SSP technique. The mutation was identified during the typing verification by mono-allelic sequencing. This allele is closest to HLA-B * 07: 02 with a substitution at codon 173 (base 246 inside exon 3), where base G is replaced by A, which induces Lysine instead of glutamic acid.
