IMPROVING READING LITERACY THROUGH THE USE OF CRITICAL THINKING TECHNOLOGIES

In modern education systems, developing students’ reading literacy has become one of the most important objectives of the teaching process. Reading literacy is not limited to the ability to read a text but also includes understanding, analyzing, evaluating, and interpreting information. One of the most effective ways to improve reading literacy is the use of critical thinking technologies in the educational process. This article analyzes the importance of critical thinking technologies in enhancing students’ reading literacy, describes effective methods and strategies, and discusses their impact on learners’ cognitive development. The study highlights that the integration of critical thinking strategies into reading instruction helps learners become active participants in the learning process, improves comprehension skills, and develops independent thinking abilities.
