Data for Curveira-Santos et al. "Responses of carnivore assemblages to decentralized conservation approaches in a South African landscape"

Free-ranging carnivore camera-trapping data from surveys surveys conducted across a landscape gradient of human intervention in the Maputaland region of northern KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Rows represent species by site (camera-traps) combinations. Columns represent the species (engname, latname), the management context (area [PA - provincial protected area, PR - private game reserve, GR - commercial game ranches, CL - Zulu communal land]), species-specific detection histories by occasion (det01:det100), and values for area indicator (Pstatus), detection (TRAIL_W, VEG_D) and occupancy (DIST_CF, LION, TREE_C) covariates.
