The present study investigated circulating noroviruses in Australia from January 2018 to December 2020. Using wastewater samples, we identified novel recombinant strains, emerging strains, and those with epidemic potential. In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, we also examined changes in norovirus molecular epidemiology driven by the implementation of SARS-CoV-2 infection containment measures.
