资源简介:
Lung function is a well-established determinant of cardiometabolic health, yet its role in metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) remains underexplored. Our study leveraged large-scale metabolomics data to identify lung function-associated metabolic signatures and demonstrated their significant associations with MASLD risk. These findings are relevant to clinicians and researchers as they suggest that lung function deterioration may contribute to MASLD development through metabolic alterations. Moreover, our results provide novel mechanistic insights by highlighting the mediating role of metabolic signatures in the relationship between lung function and MASLD. Monitoring lung function and its associated metabolic changes may offer a promising avenue for early MASLD risk assessment and targeted prevention strategies.
