资源简介:

This record provides the curated time-series dataset, model input/output files, README documentation, and the Vensim system dynamics model used to support the study “A Dynamic Material Flow Analysis–System Dynamics Model of Japan’s Special Steel Supply Chain: Toward Decision Support for Critical Mineral Supply Resilience.” The dataset and model support an annual dynamic material flow analysis–system dynamics (DMFA–SD) model of Japan’s special steel supply chain. The model integrates material flow analysis, based on mass conservation, with system dynamics, which represents decision rules and delays in production and inventory adjustment. Using publicly available statistics, the model reproduces the historical behavior of aggregate special-steel product flows, namely production, shipments, work-in-process, and products inventory. This record is intended to support transparency, auditability, and historical reproducibility evaluation of the annual product-flow baseline. It is not intended as a completed element-specific critical-mineral flow model or as a direct quantitative assessment of critical-mineral supply resilience. Element-specific flow tracking, supply-constraint scenarios, recycling-oriented circularity, stockpiling, import diversification, and resilience-related indicators are positioned as future extensions supported by this baseline model and dataset. Files included in this version:Special Steel DMFA_V1.1.mdl: Vensim model file implementing the annual DMFA–SD baseline model.Inputdata.xlsx: Exogenous inputs and observed time-series data.outputdata.xlsx: Simulated outputs, observed series, and goodness-of-fit calculations.Readme.txt: Documentation of the dataset, model scope, file contents, assumptions, and usage notes. The simulation time step is Δt = 0.125 years, with annual fiscal-year aggregation for reporting. Inventory results should be interpreted with explicit attention to observational boundary definitions, especially the distinction between plant finished-goods inventory and total inventory. No personal, confidential, or individual-level data are included. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This version updates the record metadata, README, and model/data linkage information to align with the revised manuscript title and scope. The record clarifies that the deposited materials support an auditable annual product-flow baseline, rather than a completed element-specific critical-mineral flow model or a direct quantitative assessment of supply resilience.
