Type VI trichomes from the petiole (compound leaf stem) and primary leaflet blade from the 4th fully expanded leaf from S. lycopersicum Moneymaker plants show contrasted cavity size and terpene productivity. To discover the genetic determinants of these metabolic and phenotypic differences, the total RNA of isolated type VI trichomes were isolated.
