The ONE-BLUE Atlantic oceanographic campaign is a key scientific expedition within the broader european EU Project ONE BLUE (https://one-blue.eu/). It is carried out by a group of scientist from the Institut de Ciències del Mar (ICM-CSIC), the Institut for Environmental Assesment and Water Research (IDAEA) together with a scientist from INRH (Morocco). The cruise started in Vigo on 24 February and finished in Malaga on 13 March 2026. The aim of ONE-BLUE Atl is to characterize and map the concentrations of contaminants of emerging concern (CECs) and the associated microbiota in air, water and sediments from up to 4000m deep and to evaluate the impact of contaminants on the abundance and diversity of microorganisms.
