Advances in the regulation of early or late flowering of plants

Flowering time is a complex trait. Plants transition from vegetative to reproductive growth, and then enter the flowering stage for pollination. In recent years, the temperature anomaly occurs frequently, and the possible adversity of plants can be avoided by regulating the flowering period of plants with reasonable measures. With the economic construction and social development, how to advance or postpone the flowering by means of regulation has become an urgent problem to be solved. Therefore, the regulation of flowering time has great development and application prospects. In this paper, the research progress on early or late flowering regulation at home and abroad was reviewed from the aspects of environmental factors, plant growth regulators, molecular regulation, and differences between plant varieties, in order to provide some theoretical basis and guidance for flowering regulation.
