Questionnaire Data on Blockchain Adoption Intention among MSMEs in Jakarta

This dataset contains the raw, anonymized questionnaire data collected for the research paper titled "Factors Influencing Blockchain Adoption Intention among MSME in Jakarta". The data was gathered through a quantitative survey administered to 100 MSME owners and managers in Jakarta, Indonesia, during January-February 2025. The sample includes respondents from various sectors such as food, fashion, technology, services, and education, with annual revenues ranging from IDR 1 billion to IDR 15 billion. The questionnaire consists of 27 items measuring latent variables on a 5-point Likert scale.

This research aimed to analyze the key factors driving the intention to adopt blockchain technology among MSMEs, utilizing the Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) framework with the addition of institutional factors. The central hypotheses tested with this data were the positive impacts of Relative Advantage (H1), Technological Readiness (H2), Top Management Support (H3), Competitive Pressure (H4), and Regulation and Legislation (H5) on the Intention of Adopting Blockchain.

Analysis of this data using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) revealed several key findings. The model explained 99.2% of the variance in adoption intention (R²=0.992). The data shows that Top Management Support (β=0.716) and Competitive Pressure (β=0.155) are the most significant positive drivers. A notable finding is that Technological Readiness did not have a significant impact on adoption intention. This data can be interpreted to suggest that for MSMEs in this context, strategic leadership and market dynamics are currently more influential than internal technological capabilities.

This dataset can be used by other researchers to replicate the findings of the original study, conduct meta-analyses, or perform further exploratory analysis on the determinants of technology adoption in SMEs within emerging economies.
