IMPACT OF DIFFERENT DISINFECTION TREATMENTS ON MICROBIAL COMMUNITY OF A HOSPITAL HOT WATER SYSTEM Raw sequence reads

The aim of this project is to study the impact of these three biocides on microbial community of treated hot water. Inlet cold water and hot water samples collected from three treated networks and one not chemically treated were analysed for microbiome characterization by NGS. Monitoring the microbial complexity of hospital water networks through metagenomic analysis is a rapid and effective strategy in order to assess risks and benefits of different disinfection strategies, as well as an innovative approach in its application in Public Health.
