This data provides the original confocal fluorescence micrographs and the corresponding spreadsheets used to generate the line-graphs included in Figures 2 and 4 in the manuscript, and S5 in the Electronic supporting Information. The processed spreadsheet, hyperspectral cube dataset and optical micrographs used in 2-dimensional thickness mapping of the microcapsule, as reported in Figure 3 of the manuscript, is also included.
