Data and R code for "Energy, Institutions, and CO₂ Emissions in Latin America and the Caribbean: Contemporary and Long-Run Evidence"

This restricted replication package contains the balanced country-year panel, the English-language CAPINST and IPEC construction workbook, the master R script, a data dictionary, source documentation, and integrity checks supporting the article “Energy, Institutions, and CO₂ Emissions in Latin America and the Caribbean: Contemporary and Long-Run Evidence.” The panel covers 19 Latin American and Caribbean countries during 2002–2023. The code reproduces cross-sectional dependence, CADF/CIPS, slope-heterogeneity and Westerlund cointegration tests; CCEMG and AMG estimates; country-block bootstrap inference with 9,999 replications; and residual CD, CDw, CDw+, and CD* diagnostics. Files are restricted during confidential editorial and peer review. Public release is planned after publication of the companion index-development study.
