VPRS 799 Schedule of Lands for Sale by Public Auction

This series consists of schedules for public auctions for the sale of land. The first sheet in each file provides a summary of the sales to be held in a particular district for the Special, Town and Country lands for the time period indicated on the schedule. Details given are the district, county, town or parish and the area of land to be covered by the sale.Subsequent sheets in the file give the details for each separate sale. Details given are the county, the parish, the section, allotment and subdivision (A or B), the area of each piece of land, the upset price per acre (the minimum acceptable price), the amount of the valuation and the name of the owner of any improvements on the land.
