Pain may be related to pathogen phenotype: Transcriptome analysis of Staphylococcus aureus isolated from PJI with different VAS scores

To explore whether S. aureus contributes to the mechanism of pain, we assayed S. aureus isolates from 3 severe pain PJI (sp-PJI) and 3 mild pain PJI (mp-PJI) by RNA-sequencing. Overall design: Comparative gene expression profiling analysis of RNA-seq data for sp-PJI and mp-PJI.
