This dataset, named 'RoeOverturned: Twitter Dataset on the Abortion Rights Controversy', was developed by researchers from the University of California, Davis, the University of Southern California, and the Information Sciences Institute. The dataset contains 74 million Tweets related to the U.S. abortion rights controversy, collected between January 1, 2022 and January 6, 2023. These Tweets cover a broad range of perspectives, from abortion rights advocates to opponents, reflecting the deep societal divisions over this highly contentious topic. The dataset was constructed through systematic collection using the Twitter Academic API, with all content restricted to English-language Tweets.
