资源简介:
This PMTCT quantitative survey was conducted in Hanoi, Hai Phong and Quang Ninh during December 2009 among pregnant women beyond 28 weeks gestation and mothers who gave birth less than 3 months before the survey. The main objectives of this and future rounds of the study are threefold:1. To assess the proportion of women who were tested for HIV prior to 28 weeks gestation during pregnancy (and to monitor changes in this behavior over time); 2. To understand the motivations and barriers to HIV testing during pregnancy; and 3. To evaluate exposure to and the impact of PSI Cuoc Song Moi campaign on the uptake of early HIV testing prior to 28 weeks gestation during pregnancy. The target population for this study is pregnant women beyond 28 weeks gestation and mothers who gave birth less than three months before the survey. The sample consists of 560 women. A structured questionnaire was used to collect data, including modules in the following areas: population characteristics; knowledge about HIV transmission; antenatal care and HIV testing; opportunity, ability and motivation factors that may act as determinants of early HIV testing during pregnancy; exposure to the project's Cuoc Song Moi communications campaign; and additional information gathered on media habits.
