Effect of lipopolysaccharide priming on the whole-genome expression of grapevine (Vitis vinifera cv Cabernet Sauvignon) during Pierce's disease

Transcriptome profiling by RNA-seq determined the genome-wide patterns of expression of grape genes in lipopolysaccharide-primed petioles during Pierce's Disease. Overall design: Potted Vitis vinifera 'Cabernet sauvignon' were mechanically inoculated with Xylella fastidiosa or 1X PBS (negative controls) 4 hours after priming with water or lipopolysaccharides from X. fastidiosa. Petioles were harvested at 4 h, 24 h, and 48 h post-inoculation (hpi) from the point of inoculation and 20 nodes above the point of inoculation.
