A dataset of photo-induced toxicity of 17 metal oxide nanoparticles (NPs) to Escherichia coli. The toxicity is expressed in terms of the logarithmic values of LC50 (the concentration of the NPs that proved to be fatal to 50% of the bacterium) and it is measured after exposure to natural sunlight irradiation and to dark conditions.
