Near-terminus ocean currents measured from ADCP moorings deployed using robotic boats at Xeitl Sit' (LeConte Glacier), Alaska, Sept 2018

This archive represents moored acoustic Doppler current profiler (ADCP) data at Xeitl' S'it’ (LeConte Glacier) Alaska in NetCDF format. The three moorings are labelled South (MS), North (MN) and Distant (MD) and are located at the following latitudes and longitudes: MS:(56.8356, -132.3573)MN:(56.8370, -132.3574)MD:(56.8360, -132.3617) Data were collected on Sept 6, 2018 and Sept 7, 2018 from bottom-moored, upward looking 300-kHz ADCPs at MS and MN, and from pairs of mid-column ADCPs at MD. Along-beam velocities from four (or five) beams were combined and rotated to yield velocities in the Earth reference frame (East, North, and Up/Vertical) as a function of depth and time. In addition, the raw along-beam velocities (prior to combining and rotating) and backscatter intensity is provided at mooring MS.
