An erythroleukemia cell line has been established from ascitic fluid cells obtained after the first cycle of chemotherapy in a patient with congenital acute erythroleukemia Overall design: Ascitic fluid leukemia cells were grown in various culture conditions and characterized by morphology, flow cytometry, cell cycle, cytogenetic, and molecular genetic analysis, proliferation and drug sensitivity experiments in comparison with a known erythroleukemia cell line; cells were also shown to cause leukemia in a PDX model
