资源简介:
The Copenahgen City Heart Study is a prospective population study comprising an age-stratified sample of 20,000 persons who were examined three times (1976-1978, 1981-1983 and 1993-1994). The sample is followed by means of death and disease registers with individual verification. The three part-surveys are filed at the DDA as DDA-2426: Copenhagen City Heart Study I, 1976-1978, DDA-2427: Copenhagen City Heart Study II, 1981-1983 (this survey) and DDA-2428: Copenhagen City Heart Study III, 1993-1994. # The main purposes of the study are: #1. To measure disease frequency - prevalence and incidence of # heart diseases. #2. To measure and describe health-related behaviou and risk # factors (determinants) - broadly defined, including biological, # psychological and social variables which are potentially of # importance for heart diseases. #3. Longitudinal evaluation of the examined risk variables in order # to analyse the causal relations of heart diseases with the # overall aim of contributing to a rational basis for prevention # and treatment. #4. To create and maintain a data base which makes it possible to # recruit control materials and clinical materials. #5. The third Copenhagen City Heart Study forms the basis of a # number of associated epidemiological projects outside # cardiovascular epidemiology
