Psychometric Network Analysis

Dataset Description: This dataset comprises cross-sectional survey data collected from 966 adolescents (aged 13–19) to investigate the interaction between family functioning and social media addiction. The data was gathered using a random sampling method from high schools. The dataset includes: Demographic Variables: Gender, age, grade level, and family characteristics. Social Media Addiction: Item-level raw scores from the specific scale used to measure addiction symptoms. Family Functioning: Item-level raw scores representing sub-dimensions (e.g., Problem Solving, Communication, Affective Involvement) of the Family Assessment Device. Scope and Utility: The data has been screened for outliers and missing values. It is formatted to support Psychometric Network Analysis (PNA), Gaussian Graphical Models (GGM), and Network Comparison Tests (NCT). This dataset allows researchers to replicate the findings regarding gender-specific pathways in adolescent addiction or to conduct secondary analyses on family dynamics.
