资源简介:
We propose to study the hydration acceleration in two cements (Portland and a low carbon one) by holo-nanotomography (holo-nCT). The hydration will be studied in situ, between 3 and 24 h by taking four tomograms, with a total time per final dataset of 30 minutes (for the four distances). Three commercial accelerators will be used, CaCl2, C-S-H gel nucleation seeds and triisopropanolamine. holo-nCT will allow the quantitative analysis of thick capillaries, diameter=200 microns. A spatial resolution better than 150 nm is needed to study the features of Calcium Silicate Hydrate (C-S-H) gel shell development. The key outputs are (i) mass densities of the C-S-H gel shell which surrounds the alite particles, (ii) thickness of the C-S-H gel shell as function of the accelerator, and (iii) alite dissolution rates as a function of the (initial) particle sizes. The overall goal is to mechanistically understand the cement hydration to contribute to the design of chemical products (admixtures).
